crowds; nosy people; loud noises

Attacks:
She prefers genjutsu techniques and mokudon-based ninjutsu--long-range stuff, but when forced into close combat, the claw she has helps a lot to cover up for her not-exactly-perfect taijutsu skills.

Weaponry:
Poisoned claw (charka enhanced—she hasn’t reached the higher stages of her clan’s bloodline limit of being able to use a wide variety of poisons stored in their blood as poison testers, she can at most use 7 varieties and 3 levels of intensities), kunai, shuriken

History:
Born into a clan that provides most of konohagure’s medicinal herbs and poison solutions, it’s no wonder that ever since she was little, she has been trained as a poison tester, that is, ever since she could take in solid food, all her meals had been slowly mixed in with controlled amounts of various poisons to build her resistance to them. As she grew up, she had always been warned not to share any food she brought with her, which proved quite confusing to her whenever she went out to play with other children outside their clan. The kids would tease her about it, calling her rude names because she refused to share. But one day, after being bullied by the other kids and walking home pretty much depressed, she gave a small portion of a sandwich to a kitten, thinking that maybe it only applied to the kids she played with. But to her horror, the kitten started coughing blood and twitching and then died right in front of her eyes. This happened when she was three, and the things that her grandmother had told her whenever she watched her in the kitchen came to her, the thing about other people not being strong enough to eat their food because of the ‘special white stuff’ her grandmother would put in. This led to her being a bit withdrawn as the days passed. When she reached the age of 5, she was brought before the council of the clan, one of whom was her grandmother (she looked quite scary), and there, the future they had planned for her (at least in part) was revealed to her for the first time—from the explanation concerning her parent’s work and skills, to her food and tolerance and to future training matters as a poison tester. During this time, her training was facilitated by her grandmother since her parents were usually off on missions (her mother was an ANBU squad leader and her father a medic nin) making her training harder than normal since her grandmother’s treatment towards her had changed ever since that day at the council (from loving grandma to strict teacher >_< kowai~!). Her parents died when the Kyuubi attacked six months into her training. This made her intensify her training (and the bad habit of sitting up in trees with a notebook/book was born), and for a kid, her tolerance for poisons was quite high even compared to the older nins of her clan. Her skill at identification of various concoctions mixed with food and other things improved as she continued her training at the academy—her food was constantly mixed with medicinal and non-med stuff and she was required to report what they were to her grandma when she got home (with matching punishments if she got them wrong or missed something important), so the improvement wasn’t really because of her teachers or anything.. (forced rule? I think her teachers helped more on plant identification and basic ninjutsu than anything else. ) She gained her genin rank at the age of 8. She currently does missions with her genin team 55. (go *shadowssurroundme and ~kannakarana!)

Any other information:
Her clan’s council’s decision on her future changed when her parents died. They had only planned for her to follow her mother’s footsteps of being one of the clan’s best and high-level bloodline limit users (at least the poison side, there’s a med side to it, but that’s rare, special cases for skilled medic nins), to becoming one of the best candidates for becoming one of konoha’s ‘shadows’. Of course they haven’t revealed it to her yet, since she hasn’t reached the level where she’d be hard to kill (chuunin or jounin level maybe? And IF she lives to reach that level >_<; ), but when she starts showing signs of being able to take on A class missions with ease and surviving most S class missions, the council had decided that she will become one of konohagure’s shadows—permanently. That is, she will be given a mission where she will be proclaimed ‘dead’ (she’ll even be given death rites and a grave stone!), where her existence as the person named Shiroi Luna will be cast off and she will be under the direct service of the Hokage (you know, doing the dirty work no one wants to do and no one’s supposed to know about? and that’s why it’s called “shadow”, no past, no identity, and you’re not allowed to be ‘seen’ as your former self). the clan considers it as the the highest of honors, with the greatest sacrifice. (pretty cruel, really, since they decide on it, and not you.)

Hehe… while i was brainstorming for the contest, i remembered someone and a volunteer (make that two? maybe more?) at a convention thought i was a cosplayer coz i was wearing a hitai-ate *huggles to Zienta, the maker of said hitai-ate* and being my normal, oddly-dressed self.

Costume basis: What happens when i chop up and sew together my existing wardrobe i guess i love my black skirt-jumper too much… oh, and lookie her hair clips! STARS~! *neko all sparkly-eyed* but sadly, i don’t own anything like the cute clips. T_T

Name: Yes, i KNOW. I sooo lack creativity when it comes to first names, so sue me. no… wait. DON’T. no money. i couldn’t use “Fureya” anymore since i used that for a HunterxHunter rpg chara already and it wouldn’t match her last name. Her last name literally means “white medicine”, and this borders on being a pun… well, actually it is. “white med” can mean anything from the usual ‘bitter doctor’s med’ to ‘dangerous drugs’ (aka shabu) to ‘normal poison mixed in food to make them die instantly’ hey, she IS a poison tester… and her clan’s herbal med/poison providers too! okay, so i’m insane… was supposed to use “Honzou” (lit. “plants; medicinal herbs”) but the pun wouldn’t stop threatening me with an extra-large kunai.

Background: YES, it SUCKS. Please don’t kill me...T_T…I’ve NEVER made a ‘natural’ background EVER, so… this is, well, a first… and yes, even the inking sucks… Y_Y
